The article clearly says, "There should be no mosque near Ground Zero in New York so long as there are no churches or synagogues in Saudi Arabia." That is a stance of equality. If there are churches and synagogues in Saudi Arabia, then certainly there can be a mosque in America. One of the founding principles of America was religious freedom, a right which citizens of Saudi Arabia do not enjoy. At no tme is Newt saying that Islam should be banned in America.

Vegetation is *supposed* to absorb CO2. That's one of its ecological functions. Rainforests, for example, are huge CO2 sinks. CO2 is not poison to a plant as it is to a mammal.

Yes, vegetation will absorb CO2 more effectively when there is a higher concentration of it and thus better control carbon dioxide when the atmosphere has a high concentration of it.
Your lungs will absorb Cl2 more effectively when it is concentrated and so will also clean the air more effectively. I, however, would not recommend trying tfilter a room of the poisonous gas by increasing the concentration.

I don't know how well you've done your research, but there ARE churches in Saudi Arabia. 5% of the country's population is Christian and there are over 1 million Catholics in the country. While I agree I am emotionally opposed to the site in question for a mosque, getting your facts straight makes your argument more convincing.

Here's a little more info about Charlie Reese's article. Originally titled “545 People Responsible for Country’s” it was published in September of 1985. Original article: http://www.apfn.org/APFN/woes.htm

If you agree with the point of that article, then please read Walter Williams' article “Political Monopoly Power” (http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2008/oct/19/political-monopoly-power). And read “Freedom and Legislative District Sizes” (http://thirty-thousand-org.blogspot.com/2009/10/freedom-and-legislative-district-sizes.html).

545 is an oligarchy. 6,110 is a representative democracy

Go ahead. Give up. Throw in the towel. Reminisce kindly on all the freedoms you had when you were young when you find yourself old, lonely and stuck in a state-run hospital that won't give you the simple inexpensive treatment you need to stay alive for another few years. You'll be able to watch your children and grandchildren labor fruitlessly their entire lives without ever being given the chance to succeed. You'll remember all the luxuries you had that you now know your progeny will never experience. That is, of course, if they all haven't already committed suicide due to the crushing hopelessness and oppression they experience in every aspect of their lives... ahhh... It just warms, the heart, doesn't it?

Die fighting. Die free.
